Volunteers

Volunteers are always welcome at our events. We ask that you come prepared wearing closed-toed shoes, long pants, and bring water to our Tree Care events. New Tree Care instructions for the future are being developed in accordance with COVID-19 guidelines.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we have stopped all volunteer events for the summer term. We are working on developing safe and fun volunteer events with strict procedures for the Fall and will update this website in accordance.

To volunteer for any of the events below, please contact Ken Knight at 805-252-1952 or at kennethknight@cox.net

Elings Park

  • Elings Park is a 230-acre non-profit park location in Santa Barbara, California. During a recent six-year drought, 90 of the 96 trees previously planted died from drought. We replaced these trees with native Coast Live Oaks (Quercus agrifolia) that can better withstand drought, and are maintaining them for two years during establishment so that the trees will be an everlasting reminder of our veteran’s sacrifices.
