Your Children's Trees

Your Children’s Trees is a volunteer non-profit urban forestry organization. We work throughout Santa Barbara County to grow, plant and care for trees primarily in public areas, and to provide educational outreach to schools and the community about the benefits of trees. We work in conjunction with the campus-recognized organization Tomorrow’s Trees, current locations include  Elings Growing Grounds at Elings Park, and local schools, among other sites.

As of April 1, 2026 Your Children’s Trees have planted 1,861 trees, maintained 13,192 trees,  with 12,425 participants providing 32,266 service hours. In addition, we have conducted Science Night programs at 15 schools and non-profits over the last 12 years motivating over 12,000 students to explore careers in math and science and understand the benefits of trees. When our predecessor, Goleta Valley Beautiful, is added to the list an additional 3,965 trees planted, 7,861 trees maintained, with 9,253 volunteers providing 26,328 service hours.

Your Children’s Trees have published 25 Tree Walks emphasizing the diversity of trees on school campuses and independent exploration.
