Thanks to the support of the Santa Barbara Foundation, Your Children’s Trees built and operates a growing grounds to grow native and climate appropriate trees for planting in Elings Park! We also conduct tree maintenance events along previously planted trails including Valerio Trail (80 trees) and the Veterans Walkway (70 trees). With the support of our partners at Elings and the Sage Trail Alliance, we are installing irrigation during the summer and planting 100 trees on the Santa Barbara Foundation Trail in the Fall of 2026.
We have volunteer opportunities at the Growing Grounds on selected Saturday mornings from 8 to 9 am during the summer. Please call 805-252-1952 for more information on becoming a volunteer!
